D90 Recognized for Sound Fiscal Stewardship

For the 29th year, District 90 has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. The COE has recognized school districts for financial reporting excellence and best practices for more than 40 years. The award is in recognition of District 90’s Comprehensive Financial Report (CAFR) for the 2021 fiscal year. According to ASBO International, the CAFR provides stakeholders with information about the District’s financial and economic state and represents a tool for building trust and engaging with the school community.

The COE recognition acknowledges that the District’s financial reporting has met or exceeded ASBO’s standards for financial reporting and accountability. District 90’s long-term participation in the Certificate of Excellence program affirms the District’s commitment to transparency, high-quality financial accountability, and sound fiscal stewardship of taxpayer resources. According to ASBO, receiving this award can help strengthen District 90’s bond rating. This Certificate of Excellence recognition is also a recognition of the hard work and dedication of the District’s Finance Office. Congratulations!
