Young Authors' Conference Encourages Young Writers

Congratulations to the three top school authors and to the more than 135 students who submitted poems or stories to the recent Young Authors’ Conference. The event featured Carrie Ann Bronkowski, a local children’s author, artist, and art instructor at the College of DuPage. Ms. Bronkowski held a writing workshop for the participants and offered encouragement to all of the young authors in attendance. Because writers need readers, be sure to click on the title of short stories from this year’s Young Authors’ Conference winners: Elephant Journey by Eleanor Fleisch, Lincoln School; The Consequences and Benefits of Running Away by Lucie Talleux, Willard School; and Für Elise by Vivian Smith, Roosevelt Middle School. Please enjoy the imaginations and wordsmithing of these D90 students.
