D90 Transitions to Remote Learning Due to Public Health Metrics

District 90 will begin an “Adaptive Pause” shift to remote learning for two weeks, beginning on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. This transition returning District schools to remote learning is due to Governor J.B. Pritzker's recent announcement about the COVID-19 mitigation procedures for regions 4 and 10 under the Restore Illinois Plan. Region 4 encompasses the Metro East area of the state, while Region10 encompasses Suburban Cook County. The Governor’s order is in response to increasing COVID-19 positivity rates and hospitalizations. It calls for additional restrictions limiting operations for restaurants and bars, as well as expanded limits on meetings and other gatherings.

District 90's “Adaptive Pause” pivot to remote learning will begin from October 28 to November 11, 2020. Students are not scheduled to return to in-person instruction until Monday, November 16, 2020, and will not be in attendance at school on November 12 or 13 due to previously scheduled Parent/Teacher conferences and a student non-attendance day. Also, final return dates may be revised based upon changing circumstances or conditions. More information will be provided in the near future.
