District 90 Honored for 26 Years of Sound Financial Stewardship

District 90 has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. This year represents the 26^th time the Certificate of Excellence has been awarded to District 90. For more than 40 years, the COE has recognized school districts for excellence and best practices in financial reporting. The award is in recognition of District 90’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year 2018.

 

This recognition acknowledges that the District’s financial reporting has met or exceeded the ASBO’s standards for financial reporting and accountability. The District’s participation in the Certificate of Excellence program for the past 27 years is a testament to the District’s commitment to transparency, high-quality financial accountability, and sound fiscal stewardship of taxpayer resources. According to the ASBO, receiving the Certificate of Excellence award can help strengthen a district’s bond rating
