Roosevelt Girls State Track Results

Congratulations to Roosevelt 7th grade track team member Lauren Lee on placing 3rd in the State Championship 400 meter run, with a time of 62 seconds in Division AA.

The 4x400 relay team of Lily Kennedy, Rachel Rowe, Elizabeth Ward, and Lauren Lee finished ninth in the State meet with a time of 4 minutes 26 seconds.

The team, coached by Louisa Starr, Mike Schlachter, Don Karcher, and Wendy Perry, also won the Division AA Sectional title.

Roosevelt Girls Track Athletes Headed to State

Congratulations to the Roosevelt Middle School 7th grade girls track team for winning their regional meet. They are also the Division AA Sectional champs.

The 8th grade girls track athletes took 3rd place. Good luck to the 14 athletes who qualified for the State AA Track Meet this weekend in Peoria!

The 7th grade team was led by the lightning-fast 400m run of Lauren Lee (1.02), and the first place finish by the 4x400 team of Lauren Lee, Lily Kennedy, Elizabeth Ward and Rachel Rowe. The Bulldog team also scored strong second place finishes by shot put athlete Grace Underhill and long jumper Emma Smith.

The 8th grade girls' 4x200 relay team of Tamsen Cronin, Ashley Gerin, Athena Lesiotis and Lucy Jensen won first place at sectionals. Throwers Maria Krunic and Tamsen Cronin delivered stellar performances, taking first in shot put and discus. Miler Polina Bondarenko qualified for State with a time of 5.39.

8th Grade Boys Volleyball Conference Champs!

The Roosevelt 8th grade boys volleyball team beat number one seeded Unity 2 games to 0 in the semifinal round to advance to the Conference finals. There they prevailed in a tough three-game match to beat MacArthur for the Conference title.

Parents Discuss Advanced Differentiated Learning

District 90 administration and instructional staff members presented information about Advanced Differentiated Learning (ADL) and the Academically Talented Program (ATP) at a meeting with parents at Roosevelt Middle School.
