Instructional
Art Appreciation: Parent volunteers give a monthly presentation to their child’s class on an artist, an art movement or a medium. An art background is not required. – Carole Smith, Jean Bacom, Pam Dombrowski Authors and Assemblies: Children’s authors, performing artists, and cultural events are brought to Lincoln as special school day events. – Cathy May
Family Math: A mind-bending night of family math games. – Bill McNeill
Family Science: An evening of science fun for the whole family. – Lorrie Applebey, Beth Christian FLIP: The Foreign Language Instruction Program introduces children to foreign conversation and culture. – Scott Krusinski
Jr. Great Books: In early morning sessions, trained parent volunteers lead 1st through 4th graders in discussions of stories with timeless appeal. – Lorrie Applebey, Alicia Howes

Extra Curricular Activities
Backgammon Club: This after-school program introduces students to the game of backgammon. Volunteers help at each meeting. – Magdy Milad
Chess Club: An after-school club that allows students to develop their chess skills at any level. Volunteers help at each meeting. –
Audit Committee: Our bylaws require this committee to present a report on the annual audit of the treasurer’s books at the Fall Open House. – Diane Silha
Lincoln Links: Current families welcome those who are new to Lincoln. – Trina Bockus, Tandra Sbrocco
Lincoln Publishing: Parent volunteers help room volunteers type and bind books written and illustrated by 1st and 2nd graders. – Sarah Lempia
Field Day: An afternoon of fun for students, teachers and parent volunteers. After a family picnic lunch, classes enjoy outdoor games and refreshments. – Sandy Figatner
Parent Enrichment: Carsi Hughes
Winter-fest: Join other Lincoln families for a fun-filled Saturday afternoon – Lincoln’s cure for cabin fever. – Heidi Drane & Collette Mahanes

4th Grade Committees
Heartworks: This committee assists interested 4th graders with various community service projects. – Mara Bujnowski, Donna Culver Year End Entertainment: A magical event for 4th graders on Field Day. Volunteers help the children choreograph an end of the year entertainment celebration. – Debbie Sloan Service Club: 4th graders serve as lunchroom monitors and plant annuals in front of the District 90 building. – Kim Fields
School Store: 4th grade shopkeepers sell school supplies and small gift items at reasonable prices. Parent volunteers oversee weekly lunchtime sales. – Carsi Hughes.
4th Grade Breakfast: A final social gathering for 4th graders and their families. – Molly Uhlir
Fund-Raising
Book Fair: Held in November, this is an opportunity to purchase quality books for family, friends and teachers while benefiting the Lincoln Library Learning Center. Parent volunteers set up and handle sales. – Sue Kemper, Anne Sullivan, Heidi Drane, Liz Gagliardo, Alicia Howes
Ice-Cream Social: At this end of the year celebration, volunteers serve up tasty treats while families mix and mingle. – Diane Trivelas
Kiddieland: A fundraising night for the whole family at this local amusement park. Volunteers coordinate publicity, ticket sales, and auction items. – Diana Neilson
Lincoln Boutique: Terrific clothing with Lincoln logos sold a few times throughout the year. Volunteers publicize sales and process orders. – Jill Kopecky
Market Day: District 90 PTO’s participate in the Market Day Program to raise funds for major PTO expenses. Food orders are placed once a month online or via order forms. Volunteers organize and fill orders. – Barb Elvart
Pancake Breakfast: Volunteers serve pancakes, sausage, and beverages to Lincoln families. A great way to start the weekend. – Sandy Figatner

Pre-Packaged School Supplies: Volunteers work with Lincoln staff and suppliers to provide high quality school supplies at a reasonable price. Helpers assist with publicity and distribution of school packs. – Dana Smith & Denise Burns
Fun Lunch: On these days, parents get a break and students love it when volunteers serve hot lunches such as soup & bagels or pasta. – Patty Henek, Ann Wierdak, Julia Bentley
Free Fund-Raisers, Box Tops, Cartridge Recycling: These fundraisers don’t cost Lincoln families a penny! Committee chairs transform your box tops and cartridges into cash for PTO projects and activities. – Erin Foley
