This year we will use a variety of reading and writing projects to enhance our appreciation of literature and to further develop the six traits of effective writing: Ideas, Word Choice, Conventions, Organization, Sentence Fluency, and Voice.  In the past we have read such books as: Dear Mr. Henshaw, The BFG, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom, and From The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.
