Welcome to Science at Willard

At Willard School teachers use the Science Companion curriculum to help the students discover important scientific concepts through exploration.

Students use the scientific method, including lab reporting to study the following topics in science:

• Earth:       Solar System I: Day and night, the earth’s rotation, the sun.                 

                   Solar System II: The nine planets, planet research.

• Physical:  Matter: Properties of matter, solids/liquids/gases, evaporation and

                   condensation.

• Life:          Nature's Recyclers: Waste vs. garbage, organic/living recyclers, food

                   webs.
