The third and fourth grade classes listened to Mrs. Ryan read a book set in a castle during part of their library class. The third grade classes listened to The Castle in the Attic by Elizabeth Winthrop and the fourth grade classes listened to The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. We explored drawing different views of the castle. The students who wished to go further made a three dimensional castle while they listened to the book. During art class Mrs. Kozbur gave the fourth graders the opportunity to make a three-dimensional clay castle.
