Homework

Homework reinforces skills learned in school and provides a link between home and school. It lets you see what your child is doing in school and gives you an idea of your child's abilities. It also opens up communication between you and your child. Your involvement should be to encourage and provide positive reinforcement. You may assist as needed, but please let your child complete the work by him/herself. Homework will be sent home Monday-Friday in your child's homework folder. Your child's folder, along with neatly completed homework, should be returned the following morning. Homework may include math, language arts, spelling, science, social studies, and a required minimum of 20 minutes of nightly reading. Each night please check and sign your child's assignment book to let know that you are aware of the homework assignments. Students who do not complete homework assignments will be required to attend lunch lab.
